Favoring an irreverent view of musical movements and scenes, American artist, remixer, and producer LehtMoJoe takes an bold but off-beat approach to his music. With little allegiance to genre or trend, Leht (born Vincent Sliva) has spanned the spectrum as hiphop frontman, score composer, dj, and multi-instrumentalist. Having released his first bedroom electronic demos in 1999, suitably titled "Sonic Nausea," the apt musician has sustained his sense of humor while expanding his sound palette and sought after production abilities.
In 2009, LehtMoJoe released his first solo effort "Spaghetti Western" under his newly formed imprint HealthRyder Music. Reaping in excess of a million plays on media sites like YouTube, the heavily licensed lead track "Tom Petty" has provided the body-moving soundtrack for hundreds of videos from the likes of Microsoft to Icon Motorsports. Leht's 2011 follow-up album "Aisle7" featured his melodic side, along with guest vocalists like Xavier Marquis and Max Brown. The electropop throwback album drew extensive college radio play as well as appearances in film and television. Consistently sought after for his skill in crafting hard-hitting remixes, Leht has produced official mixes for Major Lazer, Royksopp, 311, Trafik and many others. His stylings are a resident favorite in venues from the Rainbow Room in Hollywood to KOKO in London. Popular bootleg productions have been featured in the mixes of the late pioneering DJ AM and GRAMMY Award winning Mark Ronson. In 2013, Leht steadily produced hiphop and dance records for various artists while scoring for commercial advertisements and adding filmmaker/visual director duties to his ever expanding skill set.
Leht's third solo album "#nofilter," released in early 2014, continues to diverge from the mainstream and groove with his trademark style: dance-provoking and electric. Funk-fused single "Out My Body" and the electro house "Magic" featuring Lauren Wadsworth highlight his latest effort. With a comprehensive assortment of releases and artists' work that range from rock to dubstep to pop and beyond, LehtMoJoe's dynamic range traverses the boundaries of any one musical movement or style, providing a glimpse of a truly 21st century artist.
